Bob,

Thanks to point the news for me.

I disagree with your point. Why should a high tech company, like Cyrix having a killer chip, wants to put itself under the mercy of 2 or 3 major accounts? In stead, Cyrix should license GX86 cheaply to everyone and have hundred thousand accounts to promote/sell its chip all over the world , just like M$ did long time ago. What would happened to Microsoft if they stuck to IBM exclusively. Price rules!

If Board of Directors could not understand these difference, they should all resign just like Jerry. I do not like the report that Cyrix marketing is still talking to use GX86 for "Less than $1000" PC/NC. I would call it stupid. Why? Take a look at of any local newspapers, you would find $990 Pentium system AD from every major PC retailers. Who want to pay $1,000 today for the unknown Cyrix's "WHAT" PC? NONE!

Cyrix is not making any reasonable money while P166+ priced less than $150 even with the quarter sales of 800K.

Maybe it is the time that I should joint the board :-)

Fuchi ... who loves Cyrix's innovations
