Sparky, I was just thinking about Monday's testimony and perhaps he is innocent along with the other 39 scandals (last count) but I was thinking of THREE STRIKES AND YOUR OUT (Nixon only got one strike).
Think of 3 of his hats.
1. Citizen of USA - legal system does not allow perjury w/o penalty (swearing falsely under oath)
2. Commander and Chief of Armed Forces (his lawyers used earlier to try to exempt from Paula's charges) - subject to Uniform Conduct of Military Justice - Conduct unbecoming an office (dismal from service for officer to have sex with someone under command or officer with any enlisted)
3. Head over Federal work force (OPM) - almost automatic dismissal for manager who has sex with their employee (consentual or not). Applies to any one in a position of authority to take advantage of an employee under their control. Wonder if any fired employees will contest their firings. Can anyone be above the law?

The above 3 strikes (no one mentions #2,3) are of concern if justice is actually done and the market as it is very nervous and it will be hard for the market to swallow the risk today and Monday. If nothing happens then the market will rejoice and we have the leading figure in the nation and world, spared by popular opinion, for the children to learn from. That is scary!
