Valueman: The "potential" for a 1 1/2 month delay in Iridium's startup has been referred to as "Major" by a number of G* supporters. I would therefore feel comfortable calling a delay from the original G* startup of "late 1998" to the second quarter a major.
You are speculating (though I will admit from a much more educated viewpoint than I have in this arena) when you say "we shall see about Iridium's short term delay". If G* is having difficulty getting satellites up, I can only assume that other problems will occur. Particularly when considering that this technology has never been used in such huge applications.
