Denison Mines Limited - McClean Tailings Facility
Construction Given Go Ahead

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Denison Mines Limited announced today that the
Atomic Energy Control Board has given Cogema Resources Inc.
permission to proceed with the construction of the JEB Tailings
Management Facility at the McClean Lake Uranium Project.
Construction will commence today and the authorized work should be
completed as early as mid November under favourable weather
conditions.

Initial consideration of all licensing matters relating to the
construction of the JEB Tailings Management Facility was given at
a meeting of the Atomic Energy Control Board held on August 13,
1998. Final consideration by the Atomic Energy Control Board is
scheduled for November 5, 1998.

The above schedule will enable all physical construction works at
McClean to be completed by December. All efforts are now being
placed on obtaining the McClean Lake Facility Operating License
from the Atomic Energy Control Board in time to enable production
to start before the end of January 1999.

In Greece, drilling of the first exploration target is at 360
metres. The prospect will be drilled to 2,600 metres and will be
completed in September.
