Bob,

Sony and Philips have done thorough marketing researches (I hope at less) to price WebTV at $349.95. ECS is developping $199 student PC. I would presume that $195~$349 will be of great interest on affordability to any family member in this world.

Last night, my daughter suddenly asked me what is the WebTV and for what? After I explained to her that WebTV could access Internet on TV using a remove control. She asked how much it costs. I told her that it is $330 at Fry's. She immediately responsed to say: "That's cool! Let's buy one. We don't have to access internet on small monitor, and can access it on our BIG (50") screen?". Frankly speaking, I was thinking the same except that I knew that texture on TV, even it is a 50" project TV, is terrible to read. But, most people don't know that and might don't care about it as long as it costs them $300 only to access Internet and to send emails in the family room.

I would continue my opinion on GX later ...

Fuchi ... who loves Cyrix's innovations
