Sherry--The story of Chu Mei Ash being a eunuch was started by some jealous longs.
Ancient Japan had an system of talk boards that truly were boards where traders would post their picks on the boards on rice paper. When the great master first started posting there he had no following and was an immeadiate outcast for his short selections. Then a long posted a message saying he was a eunuch and he had not only been castrated but salt rubbed on the wound. Chu Mei Ash made no response to this but continued to focus on market issues and the accusations were more and more felt to be true.
Finally a long sent his loveliest daughter to Chu Mei Ash with a mocking letter saying she would stay with him for a few weeks to tend to his every need. Since his stock picks were undoubtably going to impoverish him he might as well have a memory of beauty to be with him after he became a beggar. This was thought to be wildly funny by a number of the longs on the opposite side of his stock picks and it became an ongoing joke to send their daughters or even their wife to him for a week or more. After a few months however patterns began to be noticed. The confident longs who felt they were tormenting Chu Mei Ash with visions of loveliness and poverty were seeing their stock picks make sharp declines and indeed for some the only growth they could see was in their daughters. Sharp questioning by stunned fathers revealed that the notorious short who had taken their money in stock trades was fully equipped and prepared to go long in the right circumstances.
You are correct that serious practitioners of Zen (the only one on this thread is Kasha,[incidentally he is working on a book "The Zen of Seduction" inspired by the great Chu Mei Ash]) are of course eunuchs but Chu Mei Ash was first and foremost a market trader.
