A new Compaq Presario Pentium II 300MHZ w/ 17" monitor costs $1650 at any major retail store. You're telling me that I can buy a similar DELL machine for less than $1400??

About the service plan: Compaq comes with a 1 year service plan. That's enough. Why on earth would I want a plan for 3 years? In 3 years...I'm going to buy me a new machine that will probably cost less than $600 and be three times as fast as my old machine. I'll just reuse the monitor.
