I imagine there was really some wide open stares when Jesus looked at the woman and said, "Your sins are forgiven" and esp. in v. 50 when He says " Your faith has saved you, go in peace". This woman knew (as many of us fail to remember) that she had nothing to give or offer and could not earn her salvation, just her faith in who He was was enough, that is pretty fantastic.
