Sounds like a line I once saw in a cartoon. The response was:

Incidentally, it's hard to accept: ABANDON SHIP, ABANDON SHIP!!!! as one of the most factual academic analysis I have heard today.

IMHO, I own both stocks and think it is really the only way to go. Both methods have merit (1) no frills, short turn around, little overhead vs (2) full service with other revenue streams.

All the garbage about Dell selling down because it will not make the whisper is just what Dell wants to hear - it depresses the whisper number.

Also: making the whisper is not so hip anymore.
Hip is: it's in the call meaning the CEO phone call to subscribers where he details the company's business plans - this overrides the earnings in more and more cases because people are buying on the prospect of future earnings.
