Vladimir,

I am sure you have heard of computer networks. They move 100M speed data down twisted pair wire every moment of every day. So much for the laws of physics. When voice, data, and video move away from wire transmission, all wire transmission businesses will have to change. This includes cable companies. Coax is wire as I am sure you are well aware of. The disadvantage coax has compared to twisted pair is that coax has to share its bandwidth with every one else on the circuit. Phone lines are dedicated lines and will be constrained by the hardware at the phone company.

ADSL will grow and so will cable for at least the next ten years. I believe adsl will become as common as the 33k to 56k modem. I love the idea of not having to carry two phone lines into my house.

good luck,

Ron
