I don't post often, just read, but two things are worth considering. Mr. Birck did not enter this deal blindfolded. He stated he knew that Ciena might have short term problems. He bought the technology, period. His sales force will sell their technology. Second, with the market the way it is, it may take 1 or 2 quarters to recover. 2 years from now, this will be a memory.
