All,

I got my Matrox Millenium G200 for my Dual PII system the other day. Installation was a chore to say the least. The installation instructions are not very good and my installation went sour to say the least. It mentions somewhere but not apparently in the printed docs the need to reset the video driver to VGA before installation. I didn't do this at first. Install didn't work. Went back to the old card, set to VGA. all was well. re-installed Matrox card and still couldn't get the drivers to install. Restored an image using Disk Image 2.0 and then followed the procedure to the letter. Got the driver to install and was able to set the resolution to 1280x1024 but machine still booted up at 640x480 although the display properties said 1024x768. Matrox TS couldn't help much. recommened new driver v3.61 vs. 3.60 and recommended removing PC anywhere file awvideo.dll (only use for video conference). Still no luck. resorted to Clean install on NT 4.0. I got the Matrox to work with no troubles after re-installing cleanly. Card seems fast and stable but haven't tested out the Video or 3D functions yet. Still re-installing all my software. What a pain... I would be interested in seeing other NT users have installing this card...
