Depends. It might be viable for a Microcenter or say a Gateway because they cut out a markup level but for say a Compaq or Packard Bell who has to make a profit and then sell to a retailer who marks it up, it doesn't seem feasible yet. Eventually it will be. As you can see, the most expensive components are the cpu/mobo and the hard drive.
Which do you see as most likely for a drop in price in the next year?
