Another article with (IMO) a flawed conclusion:
Let the media be your guide, don't worry till you have to.
As Jim Cramer would say: WRONG!

"There is little doubt by those who have been following Y2K for the past five or more years that problems will arise as all the calendars change to January 1, 2000. How bad it will be and how long the problems will last, no one can predict. Consumers should stay on top of the information disseminated from the media. Get in touch with your banks, stockbrokers and insurance agents. Ask each of them what their organization is doing to be Y2K compliant and what the company's contingency plans are. You can't stop whatever is going to take place, but you can have your papers in order and be prepared for what may or may not come your way."
