CatLady, it wasn't a short sale of DAOU right after the halt, was it? Mine was a market short sell order that mysteriously "timed out" 23 seconds after I had placed it. I also reentered it and was filled moments later. Here are the messages: 22 08/14/98 15:06:35 Selling 500 shares of DAOU at Market. Tracking#: Q-000-AAAG-5558 21 08/14/98 15:06:58 Timed out: Sell 500 DAOU at Market I have never had occasion to be "timed out" on an order before Friday, with Datek or any other brokerage.
