Jim - You're drawing a lot of conclusions here. The article does not say 'The article posted on the CPQ thread states that the low end consumer Presarios are manufactured by the Taiwanese' - it makes a general statement: 'Compaq, which outsources manufacturing to Taiwan and has streamlined distribution'. Those two sentences don't say the same thing. We know that laptops and some subassemblies are made in Taiwan so the article is technically correct but could be used to support your view or mine. I think you are stretching pretty hard on this one. BTW the article also supports my contention that the consumer line has 20% margins...
