Thanks for setting the record straight regarding Spaulding's comments. I find some of his posts maddening because they are expressed with such certainty, and yet at their heart they are flawed.

I would add one point. Timing the market is a fruitless exercise. You will find that timers like Spaulding et al. temper their prognostications sufficiently so they cannot be tested. This, every possible outcome has been predicted. The market is by nature a stochastic process, and therefore unpredictable.

Those of us who invest in Dell (as opposed to trade in Dell) do so because we see this as a finely tuned company with excellent growth prospects in a growth industry. There are no adequate valuation metrics for this kind of company, so claiming that the company is overpriced begs the question by assuming a decent valuation method.
