Hey several of you made the Sep, 98 issue of Money Magazine! Just got it in the mail. It quotes Joel Gander, Deer Hunter, Rob Rob, and Danny Chan.
On page 32, under "Off the Boards", it quotes several posts. Check it out, pretty cool! Here's what it says for those who don't get Money: (I left out the HP parts):
"...After CA announced that Asian turmoil and the Year 2000 problems would slow future revenues, Joel Gander echoed Lloyd Bentsen: "I knew Yahoo, and CA is no Yahoo." The posters had reason to be upset. Between July 20 and July 22, CA plunged 35%. As 'Deer Hunter' wrote, 'I have a headache.'
"Analysts agree with some of the investor's rants. They point out that CA's main-frame computer business is slowing. Result: Street opinion is far from bullish. After all, companies like these need convincing growth to sustain their share prices. When "Rob Rob" asked why a relatively small change in CA's estimated earnings could cause such a crash, Danny Chan responded, "My friend, that's why it is called a tech stock."
Pretty Cool!
