Stock, does it also bother you as much to see so many anti-Christian posts? From my observations, the hatred toward religion, and christians in particular are always what starts up these discussions.

And it almost always ends with some last ditch effort at denigrating Emile, his belief's, and pointing out a bunch of atrocities blamed on Christians.

My reality tells me this....

Most of the charitable unselfish work done in this country to help the poor, homeless abused children and adults was started by someone with a deep religios belief. Whether it be Christian, Moslem, Buddhists or Jewish. Because of religion, the world is a better place not a worse place. Sure there are ugly wars, atrocities of all kind done in the name of religion, but on balance, the good far outweighs the bad.

Some of the people who effected history the deepest were inspired by a profound religios belief. Dr. Martin Luther King immediately comes to mind as an example.

I wonder how many national organizations to help the poor and homeless have been started by Atheists? Or Pagans? They talk a great game, but what do they really have to show?

Just some ramblings thoughts on a quiet Saturday.

Michael
