Here is an interesting little tidbit. Perhaps the GSM doomsters would also like to contribute I'm sure Mr. Kaczmarek would be happy to advise them on suitable charities.

The following was released today by PrimeCo Personal Communications, L.P.:

Nicolas Kauser was a skeptic. The executive for AT&T Wireless Services
didn't think PrimeCo Personal Communications would launch in all 11 markets
before Christmas. "I'll bet a month's wages that it won't happen," he said in
the April 1 issue of Wireless Week, in response to the launch prediction by
Ben Scott, PrimeCo's president and chief executive officer.
PrimeCo beat that goal, launching Nov. 13. Now, Keith Kaczmarek,
PrimeCo's chief technology officer, plans to remind Kauser of his wager by
issuing a personal challenge to donate a month's wages to charity in honor of
PrimeCo. "Part of PrimeCo's corporate culture is contributing to the
community through what we call Acts of Contagious Kindness," Kaczmarek said.
"We're inviting Mr. Kauser and AT&T to generate their own act of kindness by
making good on the challenge issued to us in April."
The attached letter from Kaczmarek will be delivered to Kauser today to
commemorate PrimeCo's launch in all 16 cities for which they hold licenses --
Austin launched Dec. 3. Media will be advised of the outcome of the
challenge.
PrimeCo Personal Communications, L.P., owns PCS licenses covering
19 states and 58 million potential customers in 16 major cities: Norfolk and
Richmond, Va.; Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando and Tampa, Fla.;
Chicago, Milwaukee, New Orleans; Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San
Antonio, Texas; and Honolulu. The company was formed by an alliance of
AirTouch Communications, Bell Atlantic, NYNEX and US WEST Media Group, and has
nearly 2,000 employees.

Dear Mr. Kauser:
I'm sure by now you've heard the news that we have all 11 markets up and
running. You're also probably hoping we didn't see your comment in the
April 1 issue of Wireless Week that you'd bet a month's wages that wouldn't
happen before Christmas.
Well, we did see it, and it provided us with the motivation we needed to
exceed our goals. We're now operating, and we're ready for some healthy
competition.
I know you're a man of your word, so in the spirit of the holiday season,
I think it would be only fitting that you contribute a month's wages to a
charitable organization in PrimeCo's name as a way to pay off your wager.
I'll touch base with you soon so we can select a cause we both would like to
support.

Sincerely
/s/
Keith Kaczmarek
