i would never rule that out.

you might verify this by comparing the
relative open positions before & after
expiry, perhaps noting numbers which
reflect a rolling out of positions...

bear in mind (pun if you like)
the market tremors create equal opportunity
sell offs, more equal where fundamentals allow,
however.....
