I think short interest is higher than 5 million shares. I'm sure the big-cap market correction since 7/17 has emboldened more Amazon shorts.

There were a few 10-million-share days and none below 4 million between 6/8 and 7/7. Volume was huge throughout that month, even allowing for double-counting. Much more than short covering. There was real buying going on. Of course, any short worth his salt would have covered on or after 6/10.

As for TA, stock is very strong, and shows no sign of breaking down. Wayne's potential head-and-shoulders is a real possibility (though symmetry is not there to my liking...more like a double top), but it ain't over until the fat lady sings. There was another potential head and shoulders from September thru November, too. That head was at 33!
