What's Really Different ? The iMac has no floppy drive, no SCSI ports, no ADB ports, and no serial ports. This means that many traditional Macintosh peripherals are not compatible. The good news is that the iMac has the new USB (universal serial bus), a high speed bus that is just becoming popular in the Wintel world, so that within a few months there will be a wide variety of peripherals available at lower prices than traditional Mac only products. iMac also has 10/100baseT ethernet built-in along with a 56Kbps V.90 modem.
