Well since I know you listen to the conference calls & take notes, help me out here I'm going from memory...
I heard some one say that they hired 100 implementors/installers the last 90 days...is that right?
If so..it just seems with that many more, if I got it right, would bear some fruit down the road. I guess it doesn't make a bunch of sense to have this genesis platform if nobody is hooked up to it.
I remember Bob saying a while back that the growth wouldn't be immediate because there was a conversion process 'as it is now to genesis', and therefore the cost benefits would not be there right away either. Again from Memory.
And if that wasn't enough....you have the 'Bits' Stuff? The convergence of OFX & GOLD going on right about now? At least the specs are due to come out.....soon.
And if all of that was not a 'ball buster' CheckFree has either just taken over, or about ready to take over the Integrion Herndon Bill Pay Operations....Herndon is Integrion Gold Based, CheckFree set the OFX Standard with MicroSoft & Intuit....more logistics stuff...two platforms running two different standards.
I think most of us knew that these things were on the 'Plate' for CheckFree to tackle the last half of this year, and into next. There has been a lot of 'Screw this, and F**K that' going on the board while I was gone, 249 posts...and I read every one. I say F**K earnings lets clean the plate, get the job done.
Now if a great number of Banks 'are' converting to an internet site vs. direct dial PC...seems this while great longer term...would add to these short term logistical problems IMO especially if they are given up on direct dial.....and if you look at the factors above that CheckFree has to deal with....that's why the Banks are finally moving. Because IMO the very logistical short term problems Checkfree Faces bring closure to the barriers for the Banks dragging their Feet..in the past...One Standard.
And really...If CheckFree spent 18 months building the Genesis Platform the 'worst' news Pete could have given at the Conference Call would have been nobody want's to use it. And that wasn't the case at all, they are coming in greater numbers then expected...such F**King problems we just have to deal with.
Like I said Benny...the only thing ever bothered me about this was the number of Analysts with Strong Buys...now that they have had a change of heart...I really think we might be onto something here...so they were wrong, now watch them get it wrong again. |
