appreciate the update. i've held some pj for five years now, including the time a few years ago when its shoebox-size projection unit supposedly was about to be marketed by matsushita. i decided to wait it out to boom or bust, but there really ought to be a special reward for this kind of patience.

anyhow, for those who missed it, here's one recent report:
November 20, 1996
Investment Advisor: Michael A. Gumport, CFA, Lehman Brothers

The following extracted from Video Bullets, courtesy of Michael Gumport:

"We expect the PJTV/TXN DMD/DLP to be a Major Hit; All else equal, TXN (AND PJTV) should march higher as these machines come to market.
More schedule slippages: 1st consumer models demo'd, but volume commercial roll out now looks like
January-March. PJTV $3 1/4 -NR has announced first beta shipments to its partners, but commercial roll out now is
scheduled for the 1/8/97 Las Vegas CES show. 11/14 PJTV announced it had signed a "firm production agreement" with
Texas Instruments. The product is moving ahead, but these announcements look like "spin control" on a 1-3 month slippage:
We guess first showroom models will appear between late January and late March 1997 vs. a hoped-for introduction of
showroom samples in time for Christmas 1996. On the positive side, PJTV's request for trademark on the "Digital Home
Theater" name is reportedly proceeding well"
