The VSE IS "an investment wasteland" right now and has been so for quite some time. A ban on shorting will help create just a little more balance. The current situation is now vastly in favour of the cripplers/saboteurs of stocks and against the very survival of juniors and the VSE. If the VSE wishes to bring back investors and continue as a viable exchange, it may have little choice but to do something to help the small investor for a change. Right now, the VSE is seen by many as a cruel joke, largely because shorters and manipulators have full sway in doing as they wish.
