Interesting to see the tone changing on how Y2K is being reported in the Sunday papers. They are now claiming 100% awareness but massive ignorance of the scale of the problem. This is compounded by reports from companies such as Unilever who say they have been working flat out on this since 1995 have spent œ350m and still don't know if they will be ready on time! British Telecom who as recently as 18 months ago said they had it in hand for a cost of œ100m now reckon three times that much and still are not sure.

Everyone forecast huge demand and spiralling rates. It is starting to happen but it will be a last minute dash.

I know from work I am familiar with on PC audit and fix that charges are going up on a month by month basis.

Who can hold their breath the longest???

Anyway the end of a weekend, a new week tomorrow, as you chaps say "Another day another dollop"
