Tim, I just spent a couple of hours looking at two deals I plan on trading tomorrow and maybe Tuesday. I don't usually trade IPOs but in this market, there can be some real winners. The positive is obvious, you can't short the stock, so the assumption is that the downside moves won't be exacerbated by short interest. The two stocks are GLOBAL CROSSING (NASD: GBLX), and CONVERGYS CORPORATION (NYSE: CVG). I understand you are not looking at very short term movers on this thread, but the fundamentals of both of these deals don't look too bad, and one or both could be good for a few points in a couple of days. The GBLX thread header has some links for DD. Anyone who is interested needs to look at the GCTY daily chart for a clue as to what can happen to an IPO in this market. Otherwise right now I am pretty much shorting weak stocks on the rallies for very fast trades and staying all cash overnight. I did well on Friday with CIEN.
