Dave, Qualcomm is taking on 800 lb gorillas of the likes of ERICY and Nokia.. Given the market share of GSM/TDMA and the upgrade path ERICY and Nokia are given to their customers, it appears that the game is already lost. If ERICY and NOKA had this kind of mentality before, they would not stand a chance to take on MOT a couple of years back, would they? How about MSFT vs. IBM before and now? You never know. Technology changes so fast and so unpredictable. Some people (Tero and may be you too) just announced the death of MOT gorilla just not a while ago by some small guys such as ERICY and NOKA. IBM can revive, so as the death of Apple. We just have to wait and see. Your guess is as good as mine. The same line applies to Tero. Brian H.
