I don't about the selectivity but I opened an IRa account last year and moved my 401K from the last job over. Their trade confirmations are much faster than ameritrade (my other internet account), cheaper ($5 stock trades even over voice) and overall their service is very professional and better than ameritrade. Also their margin rates (about 7%) is better than Ameritrade and I am thinking seriously of moving my entire account over to Brown.
