I had a terrible experience with DELL back in February with a p266 notebook I returned because it wasn't what I expected. What a PIA they were. Their sales rep was not well informed (maybe if I could figure how to trade the damn stock better, I'd give them another try <g>).

I'm independent enough with routine issues and most software stuff. I expect GTW to do at-home hardware like the 3 year agreement says they will. One of my specialties is making warranties live up to their word.

I checked the benchmarks for the PC I'm buying and GTW rated highest in a number of areas that were important to me. DELL's scores were crud...at least for DELL. the 400 has new technology in it and I imagine there are a number of different ways to implement it.

As for Micron, always too expensive or I would have bought there already. It looks like they're trying to shore up big brother's DRAM slamming.
