The high golds in Nevada were a matter of record. Goldstrike had 700 ounces per ton average grade in the 19th century for the first few hundred feet of lift near the surface.

It is no wonder I have a hard time convincing anyone to go mining at even 2 ounce per ton these days. They are spoilt rotten by all those mythic stories of yesteryear.

There are 11 million ounce low grade stories in the States that are just marking time. It is hard to say how the average gold story will attract market attention just now.

We hope gold will come back. It seems like it should. I don't think the Dow and the American dollar can stay up independently of the world trends forever. The Russian debt of 200 billion has to crunch along with the mismanaged Asian debt of about 1.3 trillion.

Fundamental value always rewards if you are covered and have the stamina.
