Gersh,

Frankly, I am getting a little nervous about this market. As you know I am not a bear or bull, but a trader trying to go after as many ripples as possible.

Many do not realize how bad a bear market can be, when it effects more than just the stock market, like layoffs, higher unemployment etc. You definitely made a valid point.

Since my background is the steamship industry, I remember in the late 80's early 90's how the Japanese companies sent so many of their employees to the U.S. on fabulous salary packages, it was just amazing. They lived like kings here. Then as the the 90's progressed, at the same time the JAPAN market declined, I believe from the 40,000 range to the 15,000 level now, I started hearing complaints from them and many of them have now gone back.

I believe it has been about 8 years already that the JPN market started declining. Could that happen to the U.S.? Well, fromt the many I speak to - the impression is no. Boy could they be in for a surprise, but I also hope they are correct.
