MG, "Truth is the issue." this says it all for me. Deception is not something I practice and I hate being deceived by others. To my way of thinking to deceive others in any way, is wrong.

Personally, I have come to the conclusion that if a company is real it does not need anyone on SI or the Internet for that matter.

Lately, when I find a stock that appears interesting to me the first thing I do is check to see if there is a SI thread on it and if so I read several random posts to get a feel for the tone of the messages and those posting them. If I like what I see I lurk and don't post for awhile.

I am most excited about a new find if it does NOT have a thread at all. I am avoiding like the plague any thread that someone starts and posts a ton of "DD" that they just happen to have done that basically sets the tone of being head duck or sheep herder.
I prefer to stumble upon a thread that is started simply by a curious investor that comes across as follows:

I found this stock XXC and they appear to be a small OTC-BB or whatever company. I would like to know if anyone out there is following this company and if so for how long? This type of approach indicates to me it is most likely a group of individuals who will share input; not a deal maker <head shepherd> seeking a flock. JMO

In the age of FAXES- Scanners- Computers- and Modems, we should be able to do some meaningful DD and share facts. If this was done it would leave less room for doubt.

We need a network of people who are honest and free to be objective. People who are not tied in with management; so they can maintain an objective point of view.

All information regarding the company, officers, directors whatever should be open to inspection; nothing and no one sacred. Flaming and degrading others for posting facts to a thread is wrong. Killing the messenger will not kill the message; truth will eventually come out.

There are many talents to draw from we live in all parts of the country and world so much could be accomplished for good.

People who lurk may have valuable facts and answers to many a questions posted concerning any given company and yet refuse to post simply to avoid the dog eat dog mentality that exist on way too many threads on SI.

MusicGuy, I too will always ask the tough and even unpopular questions. I do my level best to address the issue and to treat others with respect; but like you, I will defend myself and will do so with firmness when needed.

Dusty
