Prominently. He also brought the film to Disney. Cognitive dissonance anyone?

Ovitz was also a principle architech of the BabyBell's TeleTV fiasco, which crashed and burned this week. Previously he was the brain behind the colossally failed buyouts of Columbia Tri-Star by Sony and of MCA by Matsushita. Those deals left multi-billion dollar wreckage.

And yet some complain Eisner was responsible for his most recent failure at Disney - gave him no authority! In fact they say Eisner ran Disney more than ever. Thank you Michael! Apparently the price of friendship was too high and Eisner made it known Ovitz was not up to the task.

Maybe it's unfair to judge Ovitz's career by performance, since it was it was built from hype.

By extention, maybe it's unfair to judge a company by performance, when they are built from hype. And that brings us back to AOL.

Regards
