That's right, Rob. Amazon's June volume of over 110 million shares was short covering! I didn't realize the short interest had gotten that high!

I spelled it out. Maybe it runs contrary to your wishes but Amazon is still in a strong intermediate technical uptrend. It is the strongest Internet stock that I know and the Internet sector is the strongest sector in the market. Until Amazon starts consistently underperforming the market, from a technicians standpoint it's a crapshoot with losing odds to short it. Shorting strong stocks is an oxymoron.
