I'm surprised we haven't heard complaints of having black Miss Americas yet, along with tirades against illegal aliens, cheese from a can, people who wear mismatched clothes...
As a newspaper reporter, I had the honor (was definitely one of the more interesting things I ever covered) of doing a story on a KKK rally in Indiana.
The best part was a counter demonstration, actually, that drew a lot more people. I wonder what we could do here along those lines. Suggestions welcome.
The Klan has gotten pretty slick in recent years. Toning down the rhetoric, using more subtle tactics, doing their best to become "warm and fuzzy." I swear, their PR guy almost had me nodding along with him.
Of course, then the cross burning began... |
