I think people who say that Compaq won't beat the street cuz of the DEC acquisition are only saying so to drop the stock price so they can buy...Only a fool would believe Compaq won't beat their next quarterly prediction...Take a look at magazines, ads, walk into CompUSA, Radio Shack, look at tv commercials, Compaq has made a media blitz and the latest I heard is they are selling like hotcakes. Remember, Y2K is gonna be here before we know it, how many thousands of companies will be upgrading their hardware? Let's face it, PCs will be selling and selling good through January, 2000...Beyond that no one really knows, but til then my money stays in Compaq, and I see this stock at $100 by late next year. |
