I have gotten several emails about where the market is and what one should be doing. I decided to post a general response here:

I think 2 things are going to happen. I think we are going to have a drop after the Clinton testimony, and then a secondary rally. After that rally, with the delay in the Japanese getting their act together, the looming failure of the Yeltsin administration to do something about the ruble (which affects the German mark more than any Russian economic impact) and one other thing I am looking at, there will be a major correction. All of the stocks I hold are already in buying range for their sectors, their industries and the intrinsic value of their stock. They are probably not good daytrading stocks, but in terms of potential gain on the secondary rally, they are well positioned.

Several have asked me to post my short positions, and I am considering that, as a second net has been tuned for that over the last month. My general philosophy is that shorting is a little more risky and should be approached with care.
