CISCO Systems Buys 9% stake in Interlink (12/13/96)..... From San Jose Mercury News Cisco Systems Inc. said it acquired a 9 percent stake in Interlink Computer Sciences and will jointly develop software for mainfram computers with Interlink and OpenConnect Systems. The agreements will let Cisco offer additional services to its mainframe computer customers, including products for browsing and routing information across networks.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Does anybody know if Novell has done any development work with Interlink or OpenConnect Systems? Cisco has worked with Novell in Japan on joint marketing and integration of their products. Also Cisco has been mentioned as a potential buyout or 'friendly' merger partner. Is there any overlap in products that Novell has or those under development that complement or integrate with Interlink or OpenConnect Systems? If so, it appears that Cisco may have made the first move in showing their hand..... EKS
