John, the scripture when you're not saved and not interested is perhaps the best sleeping pill on earth. Unlike what the devil offers as an alternative, and I've read quite a bit of that stuff actually, the Bible hones in on sin and things that destroy and harm other people as we freak freely through life, so not only is it boring, it is irritating and hardly ever read for more than a few begats, I've found.
But the New Testament especially, in the hands of the Holy Spirit, is actually a very exciting book. Now I never thought about what our Lord was doing, and assumed He was just kind of doddling in the dirt. You may well have stumbled upon why the pharasees soon walked away and the regular people followed them.
I have seen many many details in the time between the midnight "prayer" in the garden, which of course was literally the Lord setting Himself out as bait to simply get the horrible thing over as He was totally aware of where it would lead, and the conversations and actions in that time. I only know what I've seen, and it is all quite amazing. Again, it's not ours to "teach" what the Spirit shows us, as we can't prove it was the Spirit and not our minds, so best leave it alone, and I do except upon very very rare occasion.
But I believe you're right. Also, I've wondered a lot about the little mud dabs Jesus put on the guy's eyes who were blind from birth. We have two big, beautiful 20 year olds twins in our little half street ministry thing which is turning into the best church I've attended since l978, certainly, I say that with all confidence, and they are both blind from birth. One completely withdrawn, and follows his brother around, and Richard simply stands on the sidewalk with his hand out and a big grin, and says "hi" when he hears you approach.
So, that's a mystery. Why the mud dabs, and would it work?
The best things I've found, can't really be passed on since it seems like it is something other than what is actually there in black and white in good old 16th century English.
For that, unfortunately, John the Beloved of Jesus still remains an egotistical and self serving little twit who for a moment demanded Jesus make him and his brother head big shots in Heaven.
Please believe me, they didn't do that.
As for Diana, there's a good chance we have seen NOTHING yet. I am just watching in wonder of it. |
