It's too bad the Mercury columnist didn't also mention that there are no long distance fees, period, when Portico places a call for you. It seems to be GMGCs thinking that the long distance savings more than makes up for the charges incurred for using two lines: you to Portico and Portico to your calling party. I called IR to see if they'd had any feedback about the Mercury article and there were two calls. They're checking with customer service today about it. JC does the no long distance charges affect your feelings about being charged for two lines of usage? Is it a wash for you or is it a real problem? Regardless, you should voice your opinion directly to the company.
