Tweaker, I think we have to assume that DELL manages earnings, not from the standpoint of false manipulation (like CPQ), but from a padding aspect. They may capture some of what might have been next quarter's earnings into this quarter, or they might have held some back (excess) last quarter to add to this quarter.

I think that the possibility for the latter scenario is very high, and that this quarter might really be a blow-out as a result.

We do know, from the tour, that the Optiplex factory was going to be working overtime in late-July to get as much business out-of-the-door as possible. Some people would see this as trying to make up for a poor first part of the quarter. I disagree.

I think DELL is timing the market by managing it's earnings. I wouldn't be surprised to see a blow-out number tomorrow.
