Roper Resources, Inc. is pleased to announce that its new Life-line(TM) Portable Safety Monitor, Model No. LLP1E-20 has received certification from the Canadian Standards Association under the following classes:
2258 03 - PROCESS CONTROL EQUIPMENT - Intrinsically Safe and Non- Incendive Systems - For Hazardous Locations
2258 83 - PROCESS CONTROL EQUIPMENT - Intrinsically Safe and Non- Incendive Systems - For Hazardous Locations - To NTRL Requirements
The new product is now eligible to bear the CSA/NTRL mark.
In other news Safe Environment Engineering, (USA) has announced that the Company has received a Purchase Order from the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, to expand their existing Life-line(TM) installation. Life-line(TM) has been in use at Pearl Harbor since 1997, monitoring personnel who maintain the United States Navy's nuclear submarines. The additional Main Monitoring Console (MMC) is expected to be delivered during the third quarter of 1998.

Safe Environment develops and supplies communications systems which integrate wireless telemetry and voice communication to transmit information. The Company uses this technology in its patented Life-line(TM) systems, which, in one version, enables monitoring of entrants into confined spaces or hazardous locations; and, in another configuration, monitors security personnel on patrol rounds.
Roper Resources, Incorporated currently holds exclusive rights to negotiate acquisition of an interest in Safe Environment Engineering. Negotiations to exercise this right are expected to recommence during the last quarter of 1998. An application is currently underway to change the name of Roper to Safe Environment Engineering, Canada, Incorporated.
