Del, I just received this copy of a letter sent out by MSU to it's share holders dated July 10, 1998. I don't have a scanner but I will type it word for word for the thread to read.
July 10th 1998
Dear Shareholder:
At long last I am able to give you an update on MSU Corporation.
First, it has been as frustrating for me as for you that we have been unable, during much of the past several months, to issue public information on our company. The reason for this inability is that MSU had filed a registration statement with the SEC which the company was required to pursuant to certain registration rights granted in connection with prior financings. I am happy tp report that this statement is being withdrawn an we therfore intend, on an ongoing basis , to disseminate MSU news and information to our shareholders, the media and the investment community.
Let me begin this process by summing up our most recent progress. This May, we completed a major , $5 million licensing our Internet Access technology with American Interactive Media, a diversified provider of internet - based services headquartered in New York City.
We have now shipped nearly 20,000 IAD units worldwide, which places us second only to WebTV, whose sales have been linked to their back-end service. MSU, however, offers consumers the option of selecting any Internet Service Provider. It is this feature , in addition to our IAD's other user friendly functions--enhanced picture quality, Frames , and soon to be included Secure Socket Layer for advanced encryption--which will, we believe ,gives our company a key advantage in securing a growing share of the worldwide IAD market going forward.
Obviously, this market did not explode in 1997 ,as many industry analysts predicted. We believe ,however ,there will be a dramatic surge in the market over the next 18 months , primarily due to two factors: an acceleration of the already growing consumer awareness of IAD's, and a sharp increase in demand for "E" commerce applications in low-cost ,non PC product.
To prepare for this market enviroment , we are currently launching an ethernet ready version of our IAD , designed for use in schools, banks, corporations and other multi user enviroments. We are also in the final stages of deveolpment of double bit fonting software,an advance which will open to MSU the potentially huge Chinese and Japanese IAD markets. In addition ,we are making great strides in developing a new IAD chipset which will further enhance the unit's performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
Most recently , our manufacturing partner,Mitac of Tawian, is demonstrating a TV set incorporating our Internet access technology.
Currently, we are involved in licensing and marketing negotiations for these IAD products and hope to have further news on these talks in the near future.
Our second main product is our ENVOY chip, the heart of a system for the control of Video-CD players and related products. We are presently demonstrating ENVOY to major manufacturers.
A new product---- one we believe has great potential -- is our NVP RISC microprocesser. This inexpensive yet powerful processor ,designed for use in a wide varitety of products, will ,we believe, be attractive to companies requiring a low-cost solution in volume applications.
We are very excited about each of the above developments, and remain highly optimistic they will develop into a range of successful, innovative products in the months and years to come.
I enclose a sample of relevant press releases which expand on these events and hopefully provide a further feel for our progress.
Finally , let extend my deepest appreciation and thanks for your loyalty ,support and belief in MSU. I look forward to sharing positive tiding with you soon.
Sincerely
and it's signed Wyn Holloway Chairman
Any way thats what was sent out to share holders who are holding their stock certificates. They also sent out the last four or five latest press releases.Hope this helps .
