Interesting the share price has not moved up in a bigger way so far.

I wonder if it is because the shorts have previously seen statements by HUM to buy back shares on 2 previous occasions without them having exercised their option to actually do the buy-back.

I believe this time around they have firm intentions to begin buying back immediately.

The heck with pooling of shares for future acquisitions. Given the current fire sale share price, it would behoove them to buy back their shares, and to borrow the money at this point.

My gut feeling tells me $35 - $36 CDN share price by end of the week.

Someone previously mentioned that HUM had short busting strategies. I believe it was just a matter of them considering various options to achieve fair share market value. They seem to be taking a cautious but firm approach in their resolve....I wish it were faster though.
