a few facts on meningitis

It incubates between 2 and 10 days. It is viral (less serious) and bacterial (very serious)

Treatment is not surgical (unless amputation of limbs is needed due to blood disease) Treatment is with heavy doses of antibiotics.

One does not carry the virus or bacteria for "years" and then die a predicted death. meningitis is a quick killer if not treated

Some after effects can include deafness

So is this kid really sick? Maybe. Is it meningitis? I doubt it

Jay

Ps. How do I know? I had bacterial meningitis
