Kripa, When your competitor determines your ASP and can stay profitable a tier or two above you the only way to prosper is for that competitor to make a major error or two. One was the celeron, which sold like ants at a picnic. The advanced celeron will work better but will bring back a socket and AMD can make a socket part, unless Intel tries to sweep some slot 1 patent coverage over it like that split transactional bus. But that yields only a small gain and AMD can decide to use the socket and not use the STB.

Time will tell, Intel might well snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
