Whisper Numbers

Thread,

I have told you this before:
"We found most of our whisper on investor Websites such as Motley Fool and Silicon Investor."

We are the ones who set the bar too high, and cause the stock to fall when it can't beat the number I know we have a lot of fun doing it, but WE ARE THE ONES. DELL works hard to steer the analysts towards a number they can beat; then along we come and say, "What? The analysts estimate $0.42? DELL is going to do better than that... and we GUESS 0.47, 0.48, 0.50. "

Sure, the stock may rise on 'our' whisper number, but it sure does fall when the company can't meet it, too. That's why we've been hearing whisper rumors, first about $0.51, and recently about $0.55. And if you check the rumors, you'll find that they appeared about the same time that the various threads started putting estimates out.

And that is why I had a telephone interview about the whisper numbers right after the report in May. Where do the numbers come from? There's no collusion of Market Makers. Here's where they come from!
