JP - Good Afternoon Chaos.

>>Don't leave HFC out because HFC is here and VDSL is still far away from reality. Well ,as you know DWMT is not a standard for both ADSL and HFC right now but It won't stop a lot of big companies such as MFST,ASND,WSTL,UUNT to use AWRE's DMT. <<

"Aware's DMT" Yes that's the plain old version of DMT. IMHO Vendors such as Aware, use a version of DMT without the optional power-package, in their trial run versions, due to what was, a manufacturing cost consideration. Design intensive. Though once manufactured, it is not be any harder to implement. Many vendors
will be coming on board once the chips are there.

Once the chip cost comes down, (it did when the first Motorola CopperGold(tm)chips rolled off the line) By the end of 1Q 97, ANSI standard DMT will be moving out the door in mass quantities. TI's ready to move, on both single (user-end) modem (transceiver) and the four transceivers on one chip, thus reducing power and heat on the Telco-end, in the DSLAM chassis.

Cool enough for you?

The above discussed DMT, in reply to your (be)Aware DMT...

JW's "Because of what? Ingress. There are other forms of noise that disrupt data flow, than just Ingress noise....."

JP >>The length where the signal transmits, DWMT can exceed 12,000 feet that have high RF interference.<<

Your discussing both Apples with oranges here. HFC/DWMT VDSL/VDSL.

Pick one. No, let's Stick to ADSL & VDSL on POTS lines, as that was my original questions.

I'll clarify a little. On POTS lines, what solutions does Aware have
for other forms of noise. Such as:

Near-End Cross-talk (NEXT)

Far-End Cross-talk (FEXT)

Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)

Impulsive Noise

You basically refer to RFI.

>>The length where the signal transmits, DWMT can exceed 12,000 feet that have high RF interference.<<

Does DWMT help prevent interference both incoming and *outgoing? *Such as stepping on the toes of AM enthusiast or short-wave bands?

OK, now what about NEXT, FEXT, and Impulse Noise on POTS? Both with ADSL or VDSL. These are degrading environments, which must be dealt with, if you are to have Speed, Distance and Reliability.

If you are going to tout the company your invested in, or their technology, here in the Amati Investors Forum. Then you should be prepared to back up your claims, or quite disrupting the Dedicated
Group of Individuals, who put forth mountains of valuable information.

We or I am not afraid to discuss in-depth, the solutions to interference of NEXT, FEXT, and Impulse Noise.

If you can discuss these issues, I am willing to listen.
If not please take your Hype over to another thread.
This thread does not need your interruptions.

Isn't it funny that all the other voices of CA, MT etc. went away
and we are left with JP/LV. If you are the other guys, not saying you are, We purposely let you remain with one name left, maybe hoping you would join in without hype and disruption.

And I'm still listening, or should I resort to hitting next?
